Rooftop Solar Installation for Your Home

We design systems for independent houses, sized to your electricity bill and your roof. We handle the subsidy, net metering, and maintenance for you.

Quick answer

What Size of Rooftop Solar System Does My Home Need?

Plan about 1 kW of rooftop solar for every ₹1,000 of your monthly electricity bill. Most homes start at 3 kW.

A 3 kW system suits bills of ₹500 to ₹3,499, needs 300 to 400 sq ft of shade-free roof, and generates about 450 units a month. SolarSpot installs home systems from 3 kW upward.

Sizing rule

Why Go Solar

What Rooftop Solar Does for Your Home

Solar generates the most power during the day, and net metering credits every unit you do not use. That is why rooftop solar pays back well for Indian homes.

  • Lower Electricity Bills

Your home uses solar power first, so you buy far fewer units from the grid.

  • Credit for Extra Units

Surplus units go to the grid through a net meter and are adjusted in your bill.

  • Government Subsidy

Eligible homes get up to ₹78,000 under PM Surya Ghar, plus up to ₹30,000 from the state in Uttar Pradesh, paid directly to your bank account.

  • Low Maintenance, Long Life

Panels have no moving parts and a long working life with simple care.

Elevated Structure

Your Terrace Stays Yours

We raise the panels on a strong HDGI frame, so the space below stays open for drying clothes, sitting out, or parking, and the panels sit above shade from parapets and water tanks.

  • The legs are made of 3 mm thick HDGI steel.
  • The structure is rated for winds up to 180 km/h.
  • Chemical anchors fix it to a GP2 cement base.

Still have a question?

Talk to our team, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm.

How much subsidy will I get?

Every home system we install is 3 kW or larger, so eligible homes get the maximum central subsidy of ₹78,000 under PM Surya Ghar. In Uttar Pradesh, the state adds ₹30,000, for a total of ₹1,08,000. See our PM Surya Ghar guide.

Will solar work during a power cut?

An on-grid system switches off during a power cut for the safety of line workers. If you need backup, choose a hybrid system with a battery.

Can I still use my terrace?

Yes. We can raise the structure so the space below stays usable.

How long does installation take?

Most home systems are installed in a single day once the materials arrive. The inverter goes live within 10 working days of approval and site readiness.

Do you handle net metering?

Yes. We file the DISCOM application and follow up until the net meter is installed.

How much maintenance does a home system need?

Very little. Panels need regular cleaning to remove dust, and the inverter and wiring need periodic checks. Our seven-year maintenance covers scheduled visits, and you can call our helpline at any time.

Does solar work in winter and during the monsoon?

Yes. Panels still generate on cloudy and cool days, although output is lower than on bright summer days. Your yearly savings take these seasonal changes into account.
